“I am happily sitting on the other side of the house selling experience. Two and a half years ago, I met Don L’Heureux. I wanted help with several things, including deciding how much presale work to do on the house to maximize my profit. I also wanted someone who really knows the real estate market in Cape Elizabeth. Don came through on all fronts, making many valuable suggestions. When I couldn’t find anyone to do the work except contractors charging, to my mind, outrageously high rates, he referred me to someone who was affordable and absolutely wonderful to work with who did a beautiful job renovating two bathrooms and the kitchen. In April, I told Don I wanted to list the house in the summer. I was now faced with redoing the driveway and refinishing the floors. Don went above and beyond by finding a contractor who would do a great job on the driveway at half the price of either of the estimates I’d received. He arranged for someone to do the floors within a couple of weeks, which is a timeframe I hadn’t had success in arranging. After the house sold, the hard part for me was cleaning out a house filled to the rafters with possessions which had belonged to several generations of family. Once again, Don came to my rescue by providing me with helpers to go through hundreds of boxes and move them out of the house. Don was there helping in every way possible, cheering me on from the first day I met him to the day of closing, when I informed Don that I thought he was a saint. I think that embarrassed him, but I was being completely genuine with my praise. Don is the best.”
